EstatellDocumentation

Overview

How taxes, charge items, rate plans and the rate calendar fit together, and where each one lives.

This chapter covers what you sell and how Estatell prices it. You set most of it up once in Onboarding. Use these pages after go-live to add, change or retire prices and products.

How the pieces fit

How taxes, charge items, rate plans, the rate calendar and discounts make the guest billTaxesRoom revenueCharge itemsInclusionsRate plansRate calendarRoom nights on the billDiscountsExtras on the billGuest bill
  • Taxes come first. Room revenue picks the taxes on room nights. Each charge item picks its own taxes.
  • A rate plan says how a room is priced. The rate calendar holds its price and selling rules for each date.
  • An inclusion puts a charge item, such as breakfast, inside a plan's price.
  • Discounts and payment methods are used on the guest bill.
