Overview
How room types, rooms, room groups and beds fit together, and what to set up first.
Estatell sells room types, not single rooms. A room type is a kind of room, such as "Deluxe Twin". The rooms are the real doors with numbers. A dorm room also has beds. A room group is only a label, such as "Second Floor", that helps your team find rooms.
What each part does

A room type has no price. You set prices on rate plans and daily rates. See chapter 4, Prices and products.
What to set up first
- Add your room types.
- Add the rooms, with their groups. Use the number generator if you have many rooms.
- If you sell dorm beds, add the beds.
- Set the prices.
The setup wizard asks for the first three steps in short form. See Rooms. This chapter covers the full detail, for use after go-live.

With only the view permission, every field is read-only and the buttons are hidden.
Special cases
