Dorm beds
Sell dorm beds one by one, with one guest and one bill for each bed.
A dorm is sold by the bed, not by the room. Book 4 beds and Estatell makes 4 units in one reservation, one for each guest. Each backpacker can check in, move bed, check out or be marked no-show on their own.
You book beds on the same form as rooms. The reservation is a group, so the billing choices are the same.
Room or bed
| Room room type | Bed room type (dorm) | |
|---|---|---|
| You sell | The whole room | One bed |
| Line asks for | Adults, children and a room | Number of beds and a bed for each |
| Guests per unit | As many as the room holds | One |
| Price | Per room, per night | Per bed, per night |
| Child ages | Set the child price | Not used |
| Example | Garden Room, 2 adults | 6-Bed Dorm, 4 beds |
The room type decides which one you get. Your owner sets it in Room types.
Before you start
- Permission: Manage reservations. Owners, managers and front desk staff have it by default.
- Set up first: a dorm room type with its beds, and a rate plan linked to it. See Rooms and beds.
Book beds
- Open the booking form and fill in the stay.
- In Rooms and beds, pick the dorm Room type and the Rate plan.
- Enter the Number of beds. A line for 4 beds adds 4 units.
- Pick the beds. Each bed has its own field: Bed 1, Bed 2 and so on. Only beds free on every night are listed. Leave a field as Select later if you do not know yet.
- Check the price in Rate. It is the price of one bed times the number of beds.
- In Guests, add one guest for each bed. Pick the bed in Stays in.
- If the beds are for different dates, add a line for each date range.
- Select Create booking.
