Overview
What boats do in Estatell, who turns the feature on, what changes on each screen, and which page to use for each boat task.
Island and jetty properties bring guests in and out by boat. The Boats feature lets you list your boat departures and fares, record on each booking how the guests travel, and print a list for each boat.
Boats is an additional feature. It is off for every property at first. To turn it on, ask Estatell support. Until then, the boat screens and fields in these pages do not show. If the feature is turned off later, Estatell keeps all your boat data and shows it again when the feature is back on.
What changes when boats are on

How it works
- An owner or manager adds the departures and fares in Settings.
- Staff choose a Boat in and a Boat out for each room, when they book or later.
- A scheduled boat sets the room's expected time and adds its fare to the booking.
- The day before, or on the day, staff print the Boat manifest for each boat crew.

Finance staff can also open the manifest. Boats adds no new permission. Your owner can change what each role can do. See Roles and permissions.
